Data Acquisition System (DAS)

DAS, which stands for Data Acquisition System, consists of two branches: Analog to Digital and Digital to Analog branches. DAS is interfaced to the computer through the parallel port.

The first branch -Analog to Digital- samples the incoming signal with sampling rate of 8KHz and convert signal values at these instances to digital form such that computer is able now to read analog signals.

The other branch -Digital to Analog- is responsible on generating analog signal computed in software. this branch is much simpler than the first one.
